Moon Bed Skylight

The "moon bed" skylight is designed so that
the head of a mattress can extend outside the wall of the house,
affording an unobstructed view of the heavens at night.
Underneath it is a 28" thick wall with an R-70 rating for warmth.
The skylight is an unusual curved thermal-pane window
that was salvaged from another building.
